Dr. Lynne Orozco is Board-Certified in Family Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice since 2009. She is originally from Buffalo, New York where she received a B.S. in Biology and Bible at Houghton College, while playing intercollegiate soccer there. She went on to obtain her M.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Orozco spent her intern year in Family Medicine at SUNY Buffalo before accompanying her husband to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. There Dr. Ludwig Orozco trained in Neurosurgery while Dr. Lynne Orozco finished her Family Medicine Residency in 2009.
Dr. Orozco served as medical director, ER physician, and hospitalist at a rural hospital in Mississippi before moving to the Dallas area in the summer of 2014. Her professional interests are thus very broad including sports medicine, urgent care, women’s health, geriatrics, public health education and prevention, and serving underserved communities. In addition, Dr. Orozco has working fluency in Spanish.
Dr. Orozco’s spare time is spent with her husband and 2 daughters. The latter two love arts, crafts, and bike-riding. She also enjoys running, having completed the Dallas half marathon this December, and plays in the North Texas Women’s soccer league.
